Welcome back to our blog GameDay fans! A few weekends ago I had the pleasure of interviewing Luke Norman after he hit an awesome 295lb thruster at GameDay Mankato. He competed in the Men’s RX Individual Division and won the workout with that lift!
So Luke, we just got done with the Men’s RX Individual Thruster workout, you hit 295lb and the crowd went wild, what was going through your mind?
Whew…. Well the only thing I could think of was that adrenaline that was running through my body with hundreds of people in the crowd watching and cheering. Hearing the crowd erupt like that was such a cool feeling. That lift was actually a PR (personal record) for me as well so that was awesome!
What’s your favorite part about competing and competition day?
This is my 3rd competition and I just love the community aspect of it, everybody’s here to have fun- it’s not about winning, it’s not about losing, it’s all about being a part of this awesome community with amazing people. You don’t even have to know all the people and they’re out there cheering for you to do your best.
What does GameDay mean to you?
To me, GameDay is building that experience to be the best athlete I can be at competitions!
