Athlete Relations

As our Athletes Relations specialist, you'll be responsible for forming relationships with athletes, connecting with them, and making their stories heard! Remember that feeling of getting your name in the paper or on the radio in high school? Now it's your job to do that for others by writing blog posts and creating podcasts.

Location: Mankato area so you can attend weekly meetings. Work from home.
Hours: 5-10 flexible per week plus events
Wage: Hourly. Rate depends on qualifications. Travel expenses are paid but not travel time.

Duties include:

  • Conduct interviews and create blog content about athletes and coaches
  • Help create podcast content about athletes and communities
  • Event previews and recaps
  • Follow up with athletes and coaches after events to build relationships
  • Help create relationships with fitness communities in new markets
  • Event set up and tear down
  • Other stuff as assigned


  • Need to be outgoing and comfortable working to form relationships with people in our industry
  • A passion for making athletes feel special!
  • Experience writing and solid proof reading skills
  • Comfortable speaking on podcasts
  • We will provide all necessary training and support

Location: Flexible. Ideally in the Mankato area so you can ride with us to events, but that's negotiable.
Hours: Typically 6am - 8pm on event days.
Wage: Contracted per event. Travel expenses are paid but not travel time.

Duties include:

  • Emcee on the event floor during events.  We always have 2 emcees working each event so you’ll be on the floor for about half of the heats.
  • Prepping for the event so you’re familiar with the athletes and gyms represented.
  • Conducting some athlete interviews between heats.
  • Some event set up and tear down.
  • Other stuff as assigned.


  • Need to be outgoing, energetic, and comfortable speaking in front of crowds
  • A passion for making athletes feel special!
  • Ability to count backward from 3 to 1.
  • Experience speaking live at events is  a plus but not required.  Danny Hype will train you in!
